14SEP - 2nd Dae Orientation

yeah!
rem i said i din go orientation in d am to do my things?
yes.....
i did them!
went to security to solve my prob again.....
n yes... they solved for mi d prob n i m able to get in le.... but this was after mi been there for a few times bec nobody was in.... (BUT nt working d next dae again.... SUPER SAD!!!!!!!)

bec security was nt in d 1st time i went there... i went back to my room....
lucky got ppl cum out, so i managed to get into d hse n back to my room...
den i called IT to help mi with d connection thingy.....
bec i cant hear properly n cant find d things they ask mi to find on my laptop...
they asked mi to bring my laptop to IT helpdesk.....
so i bght my laptop to IT helpdesk......
i was there at IT helpdesk ard 11.10am?
den a guy help mi with d prob.....
he took over my laptop till ard 11.50am....
n THE PROB IS NT SOLVED!!!!!!!!!!!
den his colleague oso nv offer to help 1 leh.... until another gal came n she encountered d same prob n another guy came with the same prob....
den his colleague said come back ard 2pm n they will try to find a solution by then....
so, ok lor.... nothing i can do but to go back lorz.....
so lucky got ppl open door for mi again....
i got into my hse again.....
wait till ard 1pm den i leave my rm again to join in d 2nd half of orientation....

13SEP - 1st Dae of Orientation....

hmm.....
forgot to tell u i got to know vicky n her friend (not studying here de) on 12sep.
vicky is from china....
we agreed to mit 9.15am d next dae to go together for our orientation....

here starts 13sep..........

yes... woke up at 7.15am n wash up n do my 1hr daimoku b4 i set off for the dae......
as agreed... met up with vicky n we set off to our orientation.....
we 2 blur blur d walked to library......
duno y so many ppl there....
den got 2 seats.... (vicky commented tt like specially for both of us de)
so we went sit down n wait for things to happen....
hahahahhahaah....
den saw another gal from mymmar called Nan....
3of us juz stand ard n wait....
when things nt happening for almost 20mins....
we decided to walk in n haf a luk....
OH!
they queuing for kopi.... biscuits... n juices....
we poured ourselves juices n ate 1 or 2 biscuits n den followed d queue to d lecture rm le.....
so noisy n so many ppl lorz.....
so we found ourselves seats n wait for things to happen again.....
n some1 spoke n there starts our ORIENTATION!

(bec cant scan in d price tag, d cashier very gd lehz.... ask mi hw much i saw it.... i said ard 1+.... den she anyhw quote a price of 1.25pounds n asked if im satisfied? of coz im! bec it definitely cost more den tt lorz.....)....

juz when we juz started our trip, ah wing ran over n ask if we wana join in for HUO GUO (steamboat)....

joyce hesitated, but lata oso say ok lorz.....
so ah wing n d duno who guy went shopping for food for our huo guo n we con't our shopping.....
i bght a latte for 1pound, hams... 3 for 2pounds.... bread for 32p . i tink ttz all????
n we paid n go off le.....
bec ah wing bght alot for huo guo.... we nid to help carry....
den d duno who guy passed mi a super heavy bag of things lehz.....
so mi blur blur go take.....
wah.... canot tahan lehz....
bec i juz carried my shopping things from gallions trip, which oredi tired mi out le....
so i jokingly ask andy to carry for mi tis bag n i carry his....
tink he din hear d 2nd part.... he carried d very heavy bag for mi leh!!!

he said can train his muscles wor......
so i let him train lorz......
so we walked back to our campus....
bec things very heavy.....
we oso stopped in between lorz.....
finali back to campus is oredi ard 8+ le lorz.....
den d duno who guy say go to his hse for dinner....
so we go back put our things n go down for huo guo le......
tis duno who guy is quite a gd cook leh....
he cooked "men ji" for us.... very nice n soft leh.....
n d huo guo soup oso done by him....
oso very nice de lorz....
all their "fa bao" all cum out leh.....
all d seasonings.....
very very nice! n WARM!!!
we got champagne oso.... to celebrate our 1st meet up!
we got beef, vege, crabsticks, pork, mushrooms, sausages, pepsi, apple juice....... n i tink no more le?
when we started eating, itz oredi 9+ le.....
bec i din help to wash n cut earlier (bec nt enuff knives), so i washed up d dishes for them when finished.....
tis meal cost each of us 2.70pounds.
ok lah huh.....
n we got an unexpected guest, an ang mo frim miami.....
very chatty guy....
n d duno who guy always wana challengend him to bottoms up.
n tis duno who guy can drink 30cans of beer 1 nite.!!!!!
n hard liquere XO duno what ah... can drink 1.5bottle lorz.... which is CRAZY de lorz.....
he admitted to hospital 3x bec of his drinking....
he is also a smoker lorz....
oso duno y he is here lorz....

n we finished eating at ard 11+pm le.....

bec i want to settle my access card thing n my INTERNET thingy....
so i told vicky i nt goin in d morning le.....

hmm... at ard 4.45pm?
was stoning on my "bed"...
when i saw my HOPE!
MY UNIVERSITY PEOPLE WERE HERE!!!!
tt was very very super early lorz....
so i walked up to them n said tt im from UEL...
and they asked mi y was i here so early?
n i told them "MY LIFE STORY"...
haahaa....
n they said i shld haf called d university n so on....
n they r so understanding n said tt it must b very tired slping in airport n so on....
thot tis was quite sweet of them...
hehe...
so they told mi tt we can oni set off at 8am....
so i said ok....
no prob!
n they commented tt u dun luk tired at all...!!!
tink this is reali shoho jisso... (zhu fa shi xiang)
so finali we got hope n more jing shen to walk ard n tok tok with them....
hmm... their english still understandable ba....
though cant understand them sometimes....
heehee....
so we sit ard n tok n ask lorz....
then we saw ASIANS!!!!
a couple from our neighbour country.... M'SIA....
hmm.... quite a friendly couple....

came here to study Psychology.... which i haf thot of studying earlier....
so tok tok awhile.... den more n more ppl arrived.....
got a "prince" too... with father n a secretary attached n do everything for him de....

so we con't to sit ard... n finali d person (david, UEL staff) said d bus is here n WE CAN GO NW!!!!

quite a cosy bus....
so we push our luggages to d back n d driver was good to help us load them up...

after 10mins.... we FINALI start our LONDON TRIP!!!!

n after half hour or so...
d driver spoke to d mic he has n started telling us abt central london....
we saw london eye n so on....
VERY VERY NICE!!!
den he con't tok n tok n tok....
den fif turned round n said.... "we r like here to tour n nt study like tt wor..."

indeed.... i oso got d same feeling as him....
den we luff luff....
d trip con't.... n after another half hour....

finali we reached d school....

nice place....

den unloading luggages....
this time round driver no help le....
so we got to bring them down ourselves....
fif was helpful to help take down our luggages....
but his gf Yan was there saying "let them take themselves lah"
oops! ttz his gf lorz....
so lucky our luggages r all down le....
so after unloading.....
d student abassador took us to d residentials services to "check in" to our rooms...
we waited there for our turn to come....
mine was very fast....
signed up a form n i got my access card n keys!
so fast leh....
my er jie oso canot believe it....
bec d prince took a very very long time to do his....
n he has to go to security to do his access card oso....
so we happily walked to my house
swipe d card....
n CANOT GO IN!!!!!!
so mi walked back to residential office to ask... n nw she asked mi to go security.... so mi blur blur walked to security rm n get it activated....
den when walked to security... they asked mi go to student services to get it activated.... so i walked to student services.... den when i m there le... they asked mi go back to security to solve this prob...
so i blur blur again go back to security n FINALI got it solved!
so tired oredi.... (imagine 1st dae in sch oni n i haf to know hw to go so many places in sch?????)
so went to a shop in my sch to buy 2bottles of 500ml COKE for 1.20pounds...
faster walked back to my hse n try if it works...
n FINALI it WORKS!
happily went up to my rm...

when i opened d door....

i thot it was very nice....

so we went to walk ard n go to IT helpdesk... n got my cable.....
n happily slowly walked back to my rm....
mi faster took out my laptop n try to connect it....
but to NO AVAIL!!!
so my er jie say go ask tmr ba...
tired le... unpack 1st den rest early....
so my er jie left to check in to her hotel le...
den i stayed in my rm to unpack....

unpack for a few hours....
after unpacking go wash up... den slp le....
tink i din eat dinner ah....

hmm... GUESS WHAT?
i actuali arrived in london ONE DAE EARLIER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
told my agency that i wan to arrive in london on 12sep... n he booked 11sep for mi!!!!!
being the 1st time doing all these things of going overseas on my own, i din reali go check the date... (so... pls check... n check... and double cfm again the next time u go overseas...)
SO... mi n my poor er jie haf to stay in the london heathrow airport T3 for the NITE!!!!
SO COLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SO TIRED!!!!!!!!!!!!
SO POOR THING!!!!!!!!!!!!

here comes my good fortunes....
when i reached the airport to clear the customs....
we saw an incident...
an officer so called arguing with this passenger... a guy...
wah! so happening!
it took ard 20mins for this guy for his clearance...
as it was still a few more persons to our turn...
was thinking... beta dun kena this fierce woman lata...
HAAHAA!!!
ya.... U GUESSED IT!
I KENE HER!!!!
so mi n my er jie walked up to her... reluctantly...
she took my passport 1st and asked mi qns...
why m i here?
hw long i will b staying in london n so on...
den she luked at my visa...
and guessed wat?
rem i said i arrived 1 day earlier?
so my visa actuali start on 12SEP2007!!!
wah... thot she will ask n ask mi lots n lots of qns leh...
but no lorz...
she juz asked mi ONE qn and i answered her very innocently what happened...
den the next moment she went off to duno where and cum back within 1min...
stamped my passport...
and asked mi to go to the health check up area...!!!!!!!!

n HERE I M INTO LONDON!!!!!
WHOLE PROCESS DUN LAST MORE DEN 10MINS!!!!!!!!!!

so we started our stay in airport by going to BITES!
we shared a cup of not very nice chilled mocha, which cost over 2pounds!!!
while drinking, trying to see if we go online with our laptops... but to no avail!
den i took out my farewell gift to c what i haf got...
wee yian's...
meihui's...
shi mei auntie's hong bao... (SURPRISED!)
n my district book... (which made mi shed tears while reading)
DARE NOT look at the book which MY FAMILY did not mi...
wait cry till more jia lat...
after looking thru... took out the bag of FRUITS my lao ma had packed for mi...
n ate the SMASHED STRAWBERRIES!!!!
haahaa...
after that... we decided to walk ard to ask if there is any cheap hotels to stay a nite...
the CHEAPEST quote we had is ard 200POUNDS!!!!!!
bec our luggages are super heavy.... so asked if we can put at a place n go walk ard the airport and c wat they got...
n guess hw much????
6.50pounds per luggage!!!!
and we got 5!!!
so ultimately... we go find a very nice cosy corner to take a rest...
and this became our "BED for the NITE"
for d whole nite... we oni had cheese crackers from marks and spencer, a 1l bottle of still water... 8cookies... 3.25pounds... we ate 4... d other 4 for breakfast d next dae... n a cup of very very nice hot cocoa...
so thruout the whole nite....
we slpt on n off...
SUPER TIRED DE!!!!
good thing is that, even when both of us R SLEEPING...
nobody came near us n we r very safe thruout d nite!!!!
another benefit!!!!!
