Time Flies...

WOW!
suddenly realised that i have not been recording wat happened to me in UK since... hmm... 2008?

now it's 2010 le!!!
SO FAST!
i'm going to finish my studies in UK S.O.O.N!!!
which means im going back to Singapore SOON!!!

i remembered when i first came here...
time were passing SO slowly...
but now... i'm going to finish my mission in UK!!!
can't believe that i'm leaving UK in june...
only 3 more months to go...
abit can't bear to leave d place...
but on d other hand... i miss my family n friends...
but i surely believe that my time in UK will DEFINITELY be with me all my life...
all my good times... all my sad times... all my challenging times... n so on...

I'm gald I embarked on this journey...

Surely this journey has changed my view on
family...
friends...
my faith...
gakkai...
human beings...
d WORLD!!!

FINALLY!!!

finally finished my 1st presentation for my 2nd year...
not very confident abt it bec we were over-shot!!!
supposed to be a at least 30mins presentation+seminar...
think we over shot until almost 50mins ba...

duno how?

after this presentation also made me realised alot of things...
ugly side of human beings...
so scary!!!

2dae also another incident happened in my flat...
my flatmate has been using my utensils n things all these while...
and nw those things tt are supposed to be white becomes YELLOW!!!
some more sometimes used already NEVER washed!!!
so i FINALLY got d courage to confront her...
then in d end... she turned over n argued until like it's my fault to have upset her wor!!!
y like tt?
she said she just used whatever things in d kitchen bec she duno who they belong to leh!!!
so i told her she SHOULD ask before using other people's things... (of course still in a nice way n smiling... TRUST ME!)
am i right or wrong?
but i think i did right!!!
and i also think this is basic manners to ask people before using other people's things... right???

sigh...
saw so many negatives side of people today...
made me realised so many things...

is it because of these behaviours that wars happened?
is it because of these behaviours that conflicts happened?
is it because of these behaviours that unhappiness happened?

what can we do to reduce conflicts?
by confronting the person and telling her basic manners will cause conflict...
but how to correct or help the person who do not realise it?

i think this might b bec of d barrier inside myself tt i reali got to breakthru...

will b working in a hospital setting...
think this is definitely going to b a very different experience compared to wat i went through last year...
this placement i will learn how to help children to divert their attention & calm them down when they are nervous & scared during surgery n while staying in hospital...
hopefully i can create value in their lives & of coz... mine!

i am reali inspired by d SUA n SUJ school song when they sang it in front of Sensei!!!
watched Sensei's video on tue at d usual place in bethnal green...
almost forgot how to go there...
bec haf been 4mths since i last went there...
their spirit is REALI HIGH!!!

so happy!!!
itz my FIRST TIME attending a big SGI-UK meeting...

I AM SO TOUCHED when General Director of SGI-UK Robert Samuels announced that SGI-UK has achieved a membership of 10,010!!! i reali thanked Gohonzon for the great achievement!!! n almost shed tears... simply TOUCHED by their EFFORTS!!!
the atmosphere is simply GREAT!!!
to mi... itz like going to Japan kenshuu tt kind of feeling!!!
haahaahaa....
although i did not go for Japan kenshuu b4...
but i treat every meeting here as a training ground for mi so that i can REALLY go JAPAN for KENSHUU!!!
heeheehe....

the whole new year gongyo is so relaxed n at ease!!!
NO FOMALITY!!!
even General Director juz said a few words... but these few words oredi very TOUCHING!!!
he said he will work hard like he had never done it before in his life!!!
MD chief determined to home visit 100 DIFFERENT man for 2008...
he declared honestly to all of us that he did not achieved it in 2007... he oni did 50+ different man... but he met some more than 10x!!!
so++ -- got over 100....
but he is so strict with himself tt he is determined to do it this year!!!
SUCH ADMIRABLE SPIRIT!!!!
im so impressed by his courage to admit in front of so many ppl tt he did not achieved his determination for 2007!!!

bec SGI-UK has achieved 10,010 membership....
Sensei had specially asked SGI-UK GD to take a photo of all who are present for d new year gongyo n send it over to Japan... n heard it will b published in Seikyo Shimbun!!!!

she said that when Sensei was here in UK... he went to Queensmary University to give a speech and donated some books to the University... n also a plaugue (did i spell it correctly?=p) was presented to the University....

when i heard this... my tears almost dropped!!!
it really made mi realise my mission here in EAST LONDON!!!
though i did not consult anyone b4 im here...
but i CHANTED for MY MISSION to be in UK!!!!
so now i know deeply understand why i m in EAST LONDON!!!
seriously speaking... after tiew leng asked mi tt qn... i really pondered over it and chanted for it....

so sori...
super long never update my blog le...
have been quite busy bec i started my placement for my coursework...
now i have to work on mon fri n sat...
n... I AM NOT PAID!!!
all my colleagues asked mi m i paid for doing so many things...
n the ans is NO!
they were like shocked n feel sad for mi...
d place i worked for is REALI WONDEFUL!!!
im glad i chose d rite place to go...
n this is d place i chanted for too...!!!

the manager of the centre is SO GOOD!!!
so supportive n considerate...
she even provided mi a map n marked down on d map d places i need to go for each of my session...
where to find such a good person!?!

another update is last mth someone BROKE IN to OUR house!!!
they used HAMMERS n forced opened a flat at level 4... (im at level 6)
n heard tt someone is hurt n GUNS were involved too!!!
so after this incident EVERY flats' lock were changed and all of us got another key to open d main door to our flat...
so exciting rite?
when my family heard abt it...
they were SO WORRIED!!!

i have already finished my school for this sem...

she is a muslim... though she's from south africa...
she got cheuffer to drive her to anywhere when she is home...
so imagine... HW GOOD HER LIFE IS!
so now i m trying to make her realise n appreciate everything tt she is having!
everyime i see her... she will b complaining everything ttz happening!!!
even staying here in campus she is complaining tt ITZ SO FAR TO GO FOR HER LESSONS!!! when itz oni 15mins WALK!!!

n i told her i need ONE AND A HALF HOUR to go to my school!
so wat is there to complain??
n she was like... quiet?
hope she is reflecting...

got to go back to my assignment liaoz...

hmm... this is abt d YWD mtg... on 24 OCT 2007...

so arranged with rosie to mit her 7.15pm at mile end station again...
going to barbara's place for d dialogue again...
heehee...
so both of us happily walked to barbara's place...

when we reached there...
her flatmate said tt she's not home and will b home late!
OH!
anyway... her flatmate let us into d house n rosie called barbara to find out wat happened?

we stayed in d house for less than 5minutes n we left...
while leavning... rosie is still on d line with barbara...
so when we were downstairs n rosie off d phone...
she told mi abt d incidence...
barbara got an arguement with her flatmate...
ttz y she dun wana go home... n with us ard...
so....
we met barbara back at mile end station...

after meeting her...
they decided to go to a place... sit down n chat instead...
so... we went to this place...
forgot to c wat name...
sorrie...
heehee...
while walking to d place... we con't to chat along d way....
n they asked mi hw old i m.... n so on...
both of them thot i was 21 or YOUNGER!
haahaa....
they were so shocked when i told them im 27!
haahaa...
so... i told them d incident when i went marketing to buy a knife...
(did i mention here before? if not, ask mi abt d incident... haahaa)
and they were like... HUH!!!

after 15minutes of walk...
we reached d place...
itz a place for ppl to drink...
mind u... I DID NOT BRING ANY $$ out tt dae...
bec i thot i will not spend any $$...
so....... i was like.... hmm.... sort of blank when they asked wat i wana drink....

den barbara said... ITZ ON ME!
i was so pai sey lehz....
den i was still standing down there....

den after she asked again....
i said i wan a non-alcoholic drink....
so i ordered a coke in d end...

so we took d drink outside n we started off our dialogue...

IT WAS A WONDERFUL dialogue...
i shared with them my experiences n hw FORTUNATE i FEEL n talked abt my family... my life... n my practice in SG...
den after my sharing...
barbara n rosie started to open up n shared more with mi!!!

so... i was correct abt my feel for rosie...

d dae is finali here for my FIRST discussion mtg here...

so mi excitedly take Docklands Light Railway (DLR) to south quay...
hmm... when i reached there... OH!
barbara was nt there yet...
so mi wondered around...
den 2gals called mi n asked if im waiting for barbara...
heehee...

u know y they know im waiting for her??
bec im holding on to HR Vol. 1...
heehee...
so they know im here for mtg...
haahaahaa....
so these 2 gals are serene, with a bicycle... (juz got to know tt she is the HQ YWD leader) and jamilah (from another district, and very high-spirited)... so we introduced outselves and chatted for a while...
n barbara was here not long after...
so we still haf to wait for rosie... n barbara's fren...
n we r all ready to go!!!

so on d way i was talking to rosie n asking her lots of qns...

hmm... a very soild 1.5hr of daimokukai i had at barbara's place!
we gathered to chant for the happiness of the members in london and their families... n the growth and development of KR in UK!
was a great daimokukai!!!
rosie, d district leader, met mi up at mile end station and brought mi to barbara's place...
although not many ppl attended... but those who attended were of high spirit!!!
den a wd, valarie, directed mi to go for my discussion mtg...
my discussion mtg place is at south quay... near canary wharf...
d assistant ywd leader... barbara... offered to mit mi there n go together...
heehee
so... mi blur blur wait for the dae to come n go n explore the area...
the discussion mtg will be on... 19OCT 2007!
